Right back Ray Evans, twice a UEFA Cup winner with his boyhood club Tottenham Hotspur, joined Fulham from Milwall for £30,000. He helped Fulham to three mid-table finishes in the Second Division, making 91 appearances at Craven Cottage, before signing for First Division Stoke City in the summer of 1979 for £110,000.
