Centre back John Richardson signed for Fulham from local rivals Brentford for £12,5000 in August 1969. He made 80 first-team appearances in four years at Craven Cottage, scoring seven goals, and was part of the Division Three promotion-winning side managed by Bill Dodgin in 1970-71. He left for Aldershot in the summer of 1973.
