Rodney Marsh had a dream debut for Fulham, volleying in the only goal of the game from a George Cohen cross against Aston Villa at Craven Cottage in March 1963, aged nineteen. He suffered serious neck and skull injuries the following September, only returning to the side in 1964, when he formed a brilliant understanding with Johnny Haynes to score seventeen goals. A falling out with new manager Vic Buckingham saw him leave for Queens Park Rangers. Marsh returned on loan from the Tampa Bay Rowdies in 1976 to play alongside George Best, scoring five goals in sixteen games. He now lives in Florida and is a popular pundit in the United States.
