Northern Ireland international Johnny Campbell made 68 first-team appearances for Fulham after moving to Craven Cottage from Belfast Celtic in 1949. A talented winger, who received high praise from Sir Stanley Matthews during his time with the Whites, Campbell won senior caps for his country. His career was ended by a bad injury early in the 1952/1953 campaign, but he worked as a scout for Fulham for several years. Campbell sadly died of bowel cancer aged 44.
