Hillingdon-born Jim Taylor made 277 appearances across fifteen years at Fulham having joined the Whites aged 20 in March 1938. He made his debut in an FA Cup third round tie in May 1946, helping the club reach the top flight for the first time and winning two senior England caps. He was part of the squad that went to Sweden for the 1950 World Cup, but did not play at the finals.
