Former Arsenal forward George Cox scored three goals in six games for Fulham during his only season at Craven Cottage in 1936/37. He left to join Luton Town and subsequently retired from football. Cox was also a successfully county cricketer, scoring more than 22,000 runs for Sussex as a right-handed batsman and taking 192 wickets for the county.
