Welsh international Eddie Perry scored 35 goals in 66 games in two stints with Fulham during the 1930s. He struggled to claim a first-team place in the early part of his Craven Cottage career despite scoring more than a century goals for the reserves in three seasons. Perry signed for Doncaster Rovers for £2,000 in November 1936, scoring 44 goals in 98 matches, before returning to Fulham – only for his second spell with the club to be cut short by the outbreak of the Second World War.
