Fulham eased to a comfortable 4-0 win over Minerva in the Middlesex Senior Cup in their first competitive fixture at Craven Cottage.

A large attendance saw two full-strength sides go toe-to-toe in an even first half. Fulham took the lead three minutes before half time when Minerva goalkeeper McTeare blocked Harry Johnson’s shot. When the ball broke back to Johnson, he unselfishly squared it for Jimmy Lindsey to score the first goal at the Cottage. Lindsey scored a second after 70 minutes to put clear water between the teams before Jack Shrimpton made it 3-0. Eddie Witheridge weaved his way between two defenders and fired past the goalkeeper to round off the scoring with four minutes remaining.

FULHAM: May; H. Shrimpton, Humphries, Frame, Johnson, J. Shrimpton, Robertson, Witheridge, Lindsey, Surmon, Hollands.
