Martin Jol wants to repay Mohamed Al-Fayed’s faith in his managerial ability by overcoming a tough start at Fulham.
The Dutchman gives an insight into the Fulham chairman’s character in an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mirror:
He is a lovely man. He gives everyone a bracelet of copper. After a while you get a rash, it means the copper is Âgoing to your blood – it’s Âsupposed to be good for you.
He also has a little tool, which measures the Âradiation in a room. If he thinks there is too much radiation from phones, a TV or anything else, these things have to go.
You only have to look around you, to see what a beautiful club he has Âcreated. When I signed for ÂFulham, he just said to me: ‘Martin, here are the keys, call me if you need anything’.
Jol himself relies the support of his two trusted lieutenants.
