Marco Silva has told his pre-match press conference this morning that Fulham will make a decision on whether Raul Jimenez is fit to face AFC Bournemouth on Friday after training today.

The Mexican striker injured his hip whilst heading the Whites ahead in their 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon – and Jimenez has trained by himself in a bid to recover from the injury in time for the trip to the Vitality Stadium. Silva said:

“We will decide on Raul today. Rodrigo [Muniz] and Kenny [Tete] will for more than this game – it will be difficult for them to be ready after the international break. Hamstring for Muniz, knee for Tete. When we lost Rodrigo, it was a big blow, then we lost Raul in a moment we started very well. It’s a big blow for us, let’s see what happens with Raul.

It is what it is, we will try and find solutions. I know we signed a young lad Jonah [Kusi-Asare], but he’s very very very young and will need more time in my opinion. He’s a boy who’s just turned eighteen. The Premier League is the Premier League, it’s demanding. We will see tomorrow. We prepared [for] the season with Raul and Rodrigo. It’s not the ideal scenario.”
