Queens Park Rangers winger Clive Walker has dramatically dropped two divisions to be reunited with his former team-mate Ray Lewington at Fulham after moving to Craven Cottage on a free transfer this afternoon.
The former Chelsea and Sunderland wide man follows in the footsteps of Leroy Rosenior who returned to his boyhood club from Rangers in the summer. Walker’s arrival without a transfer fee is a significant coup for Fulham player-manager Lewington, who was trying to add experience to his side after losing young talents Dean Coney and Paul Parker to Rangers earlier in the season.
Walker, now aged 30, is set to make his Fulham debut in tomorrow afternoon’s home clash with York City at the Cottage.
