Fulham defender Harvey Araujo is close to joining Colchester United on a season-long loan, according to Jack Kelly.
The 20 year-old centre back, who can also operate at left back, joined Fulham’s academy aged eleven. The former England under-18 international has been a consistent performer for Fulham’s academy sides, making 56 appearances for the under-18s and playing 64 games at under-21 level.
Araujo signed his first professional contract with the club in 2021 and enjoyed a loan spell with Chesterfield last season, making 23 appearances in all competitions. His current deal at Craven Cottage has another two years to run.
