Marco Silva says he is hoping Harry Wilson has not suffered a serious injury after being substituted having gone down with a foot problem during last night’s League Cup victory over Bristol City.
The Welsh international, who operated in the number ten position as the Whites eased past the Robins with two early goals, went down just before the hour mark holding his foot and, despite wanting to return to the field of play, was immediately substituted as a precaution.
Silva told his post-match press conference:
“Let’s see in the next few hours, or days. Let’s hope it’s nothing serious because it was the same foot and the same area as his bad injury last season. Fingers crossed that it’s nothing really serious.”
A few days left in the T/Window and this happens, you could script it and MS will be more disgruntled than he is already.
There will be no transfers everything is rubbish about signing this player or we are watching this player etc it’s. Just to keep the fans interested and then we get an injury ie Wilson they obviously want to stay a mid table club
Marco will leave and we all know why , thanks for nothing TK. For all the broken promises.
It’s a no win scenario now keeping Silva beyond this season. 1. Even if by some miracle half a dozen players come in now he knows it’ll be the same old battle every transfer window and 2. If by an even bigger miracle he guides us to 5th or 6th his stock will rise and he’ll get a big move. It’s a shame because he seems so committed to the project. Let’s get behind the team though, we can still enjoy this season COYW
