Iceland international Heidar Helguson has joined Bolton Wanderers from Fulham for a fee believed to be in the region of £1m.

Helguson has signed a three-year contract at the Reebok Stadium having been told he was surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage after Lawrie Sanchez signed David Healy and Diomansy Kamara this summer. The 29 year-old striker scored fourteen goals in 63 appearances for Fulham, forming a potent partnership with Brian McBride during the 2005/06 campaign.
