Atalanta have abandoned their attempt to sign Rodrigo Muniz after Fulham refused to drop their valuation of the Brazilian striker.

Fabrizio Romano, Alessandro Pagiliarini and Gianluca di Marzio are all reporting that the Serie A have switched their attention to Leece striker Nikoa Krstovic after Fulham turned down La Dea’s £35m bid for Muniz. The Whites were also keen to hold onto the former Flamengo forward and will now offer the 24 year-old a ‘bumper pay rise’ in order to cement Muniz’s future at Craven Cottage.

Muniz, who was praised by Marco Silva after coming off the bench to score a stoppage-time equaliser at Brighton on Saturday, has hit 27 goals in 98 games and is in contention to lead the line against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
