Fulham have told Rodrigo Muniz they want him to stay at Craven Cottage despite Atlanta’s interest in signing the Brazilian striker, according to Sky Sports News.

Sky Sports News chief football correspondent Dharmesh Sheth says that the Whites have rejected all of the Serie A side’s bids, despite the 24 year-old informing Fulham that he would like to play Champions’ League football. Marco Silva praised the former Flamengo forward for making himself available to play in Fulham’s Premier League opener at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, where he came off the bench to score a 97th minute equaliser.

Muniz, who has now scored 27 goals in 98 games during his four years at Fulham, is heading into the final year of his current contract at the Cottage. The Premier League outfit hold an option to extend that deal by a further twelve months and would need to sign a replacement striker before allowing Muniz to leave, according to Sheth. Reports in the Italian press over the weekend suggested that Atalanta have given Fulham until Tuesday to do the deal – or they will move on to other targets.
