Fulham full back Niclas Jensen has joined Danish side FC Copenhagen on a free transfer.
The Danish international, who has made just a single appearance for the Whites this season, expressed a desire to leave Craven Cottage in search of regular first-team football. The 32 year-old, who joined Fulham from Borussia Dortmind for £750,000 in July 2005, will be eligible to play for his new club from 31 January.
Jensen told Ekstra Bladet earlier this month that he needed to move on in order to retain his place in the Danish national set-up.
“It doesn’t matter which team I go to. I don’t rule out any possibility. If I am to maintain my place in the national squad, it is important to play every week for the club.”
