Atalanta have set a Tuesday deadline for Fulham to agree to sell Rodrigo Muniz – or the Serie A side will move on to other striking options, according to reports from Italy.

Alfredo Pedulla suggests that the Bergamo-based club won’t increase their last offer – having ‘broken the €40m barrier’ to the Londoners and will move to the likes of Leece’s Nikola Kristovic and the Genk forward Tolu Arokodare, who was rumoured to be a Fulham target earlier in the window.

Gazetta dello Sport reports that the Whites have angered Atalanta by being slow to find a replacement for the Brazilian, who ‘seems to have gradually convinced himself to stay’ at Craven Cottage. The Italian sports paper reports on yesterday’s events at Brighton and Hove Albion, describing Muniz as celebrating his stoppage time equaliser by ‘asking the fans for a club scarf, kissing it and tossing it back’. They also disclose that Fulham have ‘kept the wall high’. The Premier League side have reportedly failed to lower their £44m asking price – leaving Atalanta’s offer short of their valuation, even including the proposed add-ons – and also identify Kristovic as a cheaper option, with the Montenegrin international available for around £25.9m.

Both Silva and Muniz’s post-match comments suggest that they expect the 24 year-old to be available for selection against Manchester United – but Fulham fans have been here before in the past few seasons with Aleskandar Mitrovic. Joao Palhinha and Jay Stansfield.
