Fulham are ‘about to go all out’ to complete the club-record signing of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin, according to AS.
The Spanish publication says that the winger has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League club. AS claims that Shakhtar will accept a fee of between £34.5m and £37.13m, which will exceed the amount the Whites paid Arsenal for Emile Smith Rowe last summer. Shakhtar are keen to get the deal done – and the newspaper reports that the winger’s representatives will travel to London next week to finalise the transfer.
The Sao-Paolo born winger signed for Shakhtar from Palmeiras in a £12.95m deal last January. Kevin, capped at under-20 level by Brazil, scored three times in seventeen appearances in his first season at Shakhtar. He scored nine times and made four assists in 35 appearances last season, helping the Miners win the Ukrainian Cup, and has four goals and two assists in three matches this term. The left winger picked up a meniscus injury earlier this month and missed both legs of Shakhtar’s Europa League third qualifying round exit to Greek outfit Panathinaikos, who beat the Ukrainians on penalties.
We will definitely sign him because he’s injured!
We need to know more about the injury before signing him. No use to us if he is not available to play until say in November. Our record of signing injured players over the years is appalling
How bad is his meniscus injury?
If not a serious tear, recovery, non-surgery, is around 6 weeks.
If he does require surgery, we’re looking at circa 6 months.
It just seems strange that, if this is genuine, we are about to lash out big money on a player who, best scenario, will play no part for a couple of months or longer given the need to regain full fitness.
There’s little doubt that he is a talent and would give us fans some much needed joy with his style but shouldn’t this be one to be revisited in January?
Having said all that, I can only imagine that the club is satisfied that his injury is relatively minor.
One thing’s for certain, if we sign him, Reiss Nelson will not be coming back as they are both predominantly left sided.
More nonsense from Hammyend for clicks. Just share the article, why copy and paste and pretend it’s your own article.
I’ve heard players have medicals as part of the transactions? Do you really think we would cough up that amount of cash on a player who really wouldn’t be available for half a year?

When are we going to sign a striker our recruitment is useless we should look at Brighton and Forest we might learn something,
Article does no say anything about the injury. We need to sign players who are injury free and can start matches immediately. Not in a months time
We got Manor Solomon for free from Shakhter after agreeing a 7 million fee during Covid and the War in a bit of Khan sharp practice.
No competition for his signature…knee injury…
Not another Mawson please
Shaktar…sorry
It seems a lot of money especially for a player with an injury that could reoccur. I did not think I would say this but i would prefer to keep Muniz and sign a 33 year old as back up and Nelson on Loan wit option to buy
