Fulham have been handed a home draw against Bristol City in the second round of the League Cup.

The Whites enter at the second round stage by virtue of their Premier League status, whilst Bristol City beat Milton Keynes 2-0 in the first round last night thanks to goals from Jason Knight and Yu Hirakawa. The Robins made a magnificent start to their league campaign by beating Sheffield United 4-1 at Bramall Lane on the opening day of the Championship season.

Marco Silva’s men will want to avoid a repeat of last season’s penalty shoot-out exit at Preston North End in the third round of the competition. The tie will be played at Craven Cottage during the week commencing 25 August.
