Three Premier League sides are interested in signing Fulham’s teenage winger Macaulay Zepa, according to Sky Sports News.
Sky Sports News senior football correspondent Dharmesh Sheth reports that there is significant top flight interest in seventeen year-old Zepa, who scored for Fulham’s under 21s in a 7-0 National League Cup win at Sutton United last night.
The French winger, who joined the Whites from Arsenal last summer, has scored twelve goals and added ten assists in 33 games at under-18 level for Fulham.
According to the Standard, Zepa has rejected a contract offer from Fulham and Nottingham Forest and AFC Bournemouth have offered the teenager long-term deals.
Scary that a just turned 17 year old is already rejecting a contract what a shame clearly his agents have influenced this, I would wish him all the best and remind him of other so called stars that have left the club and not made any name for themselves. Patrick Roberts comes to mind along with a line of other potential stars that thought they were to big for their boots Fabio Carvalho and Harvey Elliot thought they had made the big time but now Fabio is at Brentford and Harvey is up for sale young stars that saw the bright lights what a shame that agents rule their heads.
Having watched Macaulay Zepa last night, there is no doubt he is a real talent; however, having seen JK, SR and LDF sign up to longer contracts I have faith in FFC being able to tie-down this ‘young man’ as Brian would say. And having Ryan Sessegnon at the club there is a story to be told about being at a club that loves its players and youngsters coming through – ‘One of Our Own’, means something at Fulham just ask Ryan.
I hope we can keep him we have to keep our best young players if we have any ambitions of moving up the league.
