Fulham have rejected a £34.5m offer for Rodrigo Muniz from Atalanta, according to Pablo Oliveira and Sacha Tavolieri.

The Whites value their Brazilian striker at £50m and made their position clear to Atalanta president Antonio Percassi during a face-to-face meeting in London. The 24 year-old forward has told Fulham that he wants to play Champions’ League football and is keen to join the Serie A, who made Muniz their number one transfer target after selling Mateo Retegui to Al-Qadsiah.

According to reports in the Italian press, Atalanta are confident of striking a deal for the former Flamengo forward, who has turned down a new contract at Craven Cottage. Muniz has scored 26 goals in 97 games since signing for Fulham in August 2021 and his departure on the eve of the new Premier League campaign would represent a serious blow to Marco Silva, who has already criticised the club’s transfer policy this summer.

Fulham have already turned down similar bids from Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United for Muniz this summer.
