The Times have published an assessment of each Premier League side’s transfer window to date – with what they need followed by what would happen.
The Fulham section has been completed by the paper’s London football correspondent, Peter Rutzler – formerly the Fulham correspondent of The Athletic – and football journalist Gary Jacob, who has excellent Fulham sources. Here’s what it says:
What they need A winger, after the departures of Reiss Nelson and Willian.
What may happen? It has been all quiet on the west London front, and it is unlikely to become much busier. So far Fulham have only signed a back-up goalkeeper, Benjamin Lecomte, 34, from Montpellier. Fulham feel they have a good squad and want to retain key players, such as Antonee Robinson and Rodrigo Muniz. Kenny Tete was persuaded to sign a new deal, as was the captain, Tom Cairney. They are conscious of player pathways too, having retained the coveted academy graduates Josh King and Seth Ridgeon. That said, Marco Silva, the head coach, is still after new faces. Samuel Chukwueze, the AC Milan winger, and a return for Nelson, of Arsenal, are possibilities, but may be initial loan deals.
My experience in business is that you say this in negotiation. It’s not over until it is.
Genuinely just come here for a laugh now.

I would love to see us get the Brazilian Kevin. He has awesome skills to beat defenders one on one. Could be just the kind of player we need to take our attack to the next level. His flair and confidence would be a much needed ingredient against clubs parking the bus.
He is only 22!
Agree with Chris . It’s not over until it is and just betting this all clever stuff going on behind the scenes . I think club have done very well in keeping the players they wanted and getting the key youth players under contract . Next Nelson and Chukwueze. Possibly a striker but got to get on with it
Hard to get excited about the upcoming season as we have made zero effort to improve ourselves. Hopefully some of the expensive players added last season contribute more.
