Tottenham are poised to pinch Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich on loan with a £25.95m option to buy, according to Peter Rutzler and pretty much everyone else.
I’m not sure Joao has consulted with Sean Davis, Steed Malbranque, Clint Dempsey, Louis Saha and company on how the Cottage compares with the stroll from Seven Sisters station, somehow.
Malbranque,Dempsey did pretty well at Spurs..Saha was in his last legs.Sean Davies was never fit.
If this happens, it will be another step in the wrong direction for him. I would £5 that by the end of season he will not be in the Portugal squad for the WC.
Different manager different time just as risky for spurs Palhinha not been great injury wise or form since he left Fulham, and as great as he was first season for us felt he was only as good for us against the big teams mostly for us second season for us and standard dropped and with his age would not of had him back. As for Dempsey he had a hard time at Spurs . Dembele did well there
Nobody mentioned Sess!
Not sure we’d miss Palhinha.
Thomas Frank loves a midfield destroyer, I wish Joao all the best over there. If he can get past the injuries suffered last year he’ll be immense
Two years older than when he left us. So expect him to be half a yard slower, therefore more yellows and will miss games due to mistimed tackles and down to 10 men on his bad days!
Could not wait to leave us to join Bayern who did not play him much must have seen something Fulham didn’t also can’t get into the Portuguese team on a regular basis Fulham fans loved him to bits but did not want to come back so sod him
We blocked his move originally and he stayed another year and performed well( and scored goals unlike Berge and Lukic) .I for one would have welcomed him back to the Club, but that’s not to be.
He would be welcome back but the fee quoted did not make him a viable proposition at his age. The alternative to me is Dewsbury Hall who is younger and would probably be about the same fee without the injury issues and booking history of JP
He should never have left.
Anyhow, we’ve moved on—and indeed, Dewsbury-Hall looks like a far better investment.
Overall, things seem to be shaping up. Here’s a quick assessment on 3 perfect high possibilities .
?
Samuel Chukwueze
   •   Position: RW
   •   Age: 25
   •   EA FC 25 Rating: 80
   •   Potential: 83
More reliable than AT, and can share the role with Harry Wilson.
?
Reiss Nelson
   •   Position: LW
   •   Age: 24
   •   EA FC 25 Rating: 75
   •   Potential: 78–81
Proven talent. Looked great in pre-season at Arsenal and—if he stays injury-free—could be a great coup. Likely to share the position with Iwobi.
?
Kiernan Dewsbury?Hall
   •   Position: CM
   •   Age: 25
   •   EA FC 25 Rating: 77–78
   •   Potential: 80–83
A no-brainer. He’ll give us a solid midfield, though I can’t see Harrison Reed staying.
An other is Oleksandr Zinchenko but not sure he would be happy as Robinson back up and he is older than the rest with less potential . But a possibility . Unless it’s left open for Sess.
Get these first 3 in covers all key needed areas . Perfect combination of age , experience and potential. Just need a deadly striker but Munez if injury free and Raul currently on fire would not be bad for the start . COYW
