Millwall have completed the signing of Fulham goalkeeper Steven Benda on a season-long loan deal.
The German goalkeeper, aged 26, has made four first-team appearances for the Whites since joining Fulham from Swansea City in the summer of 2023. Benda’s departure should pave the way for French custodian Benjamin Lecomte, who is poised to leave Montpellier for Craven Cottage after a fee for 34 year-old last week.
Millwall’s director of football Steve Gallen told the Lions’ website after Benda’s loan was announced:
“I am very pleased to bring Steven to the club. We’ve been working on this loan deal for a few weeks, and we were very keen on getting it completed. Steven was one of several options that we were looking to bring in to provide competition to Max Crocombe and George Evans, and I’m glad we have, as he is a great goalkeeper.”Â
