Juventus are considering a move for Fulham midfielder Sander Berge, according to reports from Italy this morning.

Italian daily sports newspaper Gazetta dello Sport claims that the Italian giants are looking for replacements for former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, who failed to report for pre-season training yesterday. Juve’s sporting director Damien Comolli has a list of five potential replacements with Sporting’s Morten Hjulmund at the very top.

But with the Portuguese side reluctant to let one of their key players leave and Juve short of cash a deal looks a long way off. Their interest in Berge may prove short-lived with the Norwegian international settled at Craven Cottage and key to Marco Silva’s plans after a strong first season in SW6. We understand that the Whites are not willing to sell the former Sheffield United and Burnley midfielder, who has four more years to run on his current contract.

Berge, who has won 56 senior caps for Norway, made 36 first-team appearances for Fulham last term after completing a £20m move from Burnley last August.
