An intelligent right back, Benchaita joined Fulham’s academy from Chelsea in the summer of 2024. Having started with the under 16s, he was quickly promoted into the under-18 set-up and made his debut in a 2-2 draw against Leicester City in March 2025. He has most regularly been used as an inverted right back and is strong defensively as well as courageous on the ball. Benchaita, who is eligible to represent England or Algeria, signed a Fulham scholarship in July 2025.
