Birmingham City have signed Fulham full-back Franck Queudrue in a deal that could be worth £2.5m.
The 28 year-old defender has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at St. Andrew’s and is Steve Bruce’s ninth signing of a busy summer. French defender Queudrue is expected to compete with Mat Sadler for the left back berth and will be reunited with his former Middlesbrough team-mate Stuart Parnaby.
The former France B international spent just over a year at Craven Cottage, having joined the Whites from Middlesbrough last July. He made 32 appearances for Fulham but was considered surplus to requirements by new manager Lawrie Sanchez after the arrival of Paul Konchesky last month.
Blues have paid an initial £2m for the former Lens left back – but there are another £500,000 in add-ons depending on personal performance milestones and whether City avoid relegation this season.
