Fulham have signed Notts County winger Steve Finnan for a fee of around £600,000.
The right-sided midfielder, who can also play up front and has operated at wing-back this season, has signed a three-year contract at Craven Cottage after Fulham finally agreed terms with County having had three bids rejected. Finnan moved to Meadow Lane two years ago following a successful loan spell from Birmingham City for £300,000 and had made 96 appearances for the Magpies, including 51 games as they won the Third Division title at a canter last season.
Cash-strapped County confirmed in a statement that they have already used Finnan’s transfer fee to reduce the debts they ran up whilst they were redeveloping their ground.
