Fulham have confirmed this evening that Kenny Tete has signed a new three-year deal with the club.

The Dutch right back’s decision to stay at Craven Cottage rather than move to Everton on a free transfer represents a real boost to Marco Silva, whose own intervention ensured that the 29 year-old remained a part of Fulham’s first team squad. Tete’s new contract keeps him in SW6 until at least 2028 with the Whites holding an option to extend that deal by a further twelve months.

Tete told FFCTV:

“I’m really happy to have signed, for myself and for my family, and I hope I can give more for the fans in these three years. After my first year I knew this was a family club, a really special club where I can develop. I want to be part of this group, and hopefully we can push for more.”

The Netherlands international, who has made 121 appearances for the Whites in five years, had verbally agreed to become David Moyes’ second signing of the summer until the Cottagers tabled an improved contract offer last week.
