Harry Wilson’s stoppage-time equaliser against Brentford has been voted as Fulham’s goal of the season.
The Welshman’s flicked near post finish – which sparked a stunning turnaround that saw Wilson score an even later winner to seal all three points in the derby – won 24.6% of all votes cast. Rodrigo Muniz’s superb strike against Liverpool finished second on 13.8%. Wilson’s wonderful winner at Brentford last month finished third – with 13.6% – just ahead Ryan Sessegnon’s Hammersmith End goal against Spurs (13.5%). Muniz’s memorable Boxing Day winner at Stamford Bridge came fifth with 9.5% of the vote.
Wilson told the Fulham fans:
“I just wanted to say thank you for voting my flick against Brentford as the goal of the season. It was a special goal for me – definitely one of the favourites I’ve ever scored. Not just the goal itself, but the moment it came in, allowing us to go on and win the game on that special night at the Cottage. Thank you again, I hope you’re all enjoying the summer break, and see you all next season.”
