Fulham’s teenage starlet Seth Ridgeon has been named in England’s squad for the Under-17 European Championships in Albania which gets underway next Monday.

Ridgeon, still only sixteen, has enjoyed an outstanding season establishing himself as a regular in both Fulham’s under 18 and under 21 squads. The young playmaker scored seven goals and added five assists in twenty appearances for Ali Melloul’s under 18s as well as scoring three goals in seven games for the under 21s, starting the Premier League International Cup semi-final and both PL2 play-off matches.

England have been drawn with Belgium, Italy and Czechia in Group B of the tournament, with the Young Lions first fixture seeing them take on the Belgians in Rrogozhine on Tuesday 20 May. The top two sides will progress to the semi-finals.
