Fulham have told suitors from the Premier League and further afield to forget about signing in-form striker Rodrigo Muniz.
The Brazilian bagged his eleventh goal of the season – after embarrassing Virgil van Dijk – in the Whites’ 3-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday and Fulham are poised to open contract talks with the 23 year-old before the summer, when he will enter the final twelve months of his current deal at Craven Cottage.
Muniz, who has scored home and away against Liverpool as well as finding the net against Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City, has been watched by scouts from Chelsea, Spurs and a host of European sides is understood to keen to continue his development under Marco Silva, who also wants the Whites to trigger the one-year extension in Mexican veteran Raul Jimenez’s current contract.
Both Muniz and Silva have reportedly interested Tottenham, with Ange Postecoglou’s job security in north London looking increasingly precarious, but both Fulham forward and head coach are ready to cement their long-term future at Craven Cottage in what would be a big boost to chairman Shahid Khan’s ambitions for the club.
We have to tie Rodrigo to a long contract and also Bassey and Berge,
All the above ,plus Silva !!!
Agree with both the above, I think I’d add Cuenca who is very young and I feel will develop nicely and we must not forget Ryan, an essential long term contract.
Don’t forget Josh King who I believe is in talks as we speak..we have lost to many academy players
Great comment’s by you all, I fully agree with you.
