Marco Silva heaped praise upon Adama Traore after the Spanish winger ripped Nottingham Forest to pieces at Craven Cottage this afternoon.
Traore produced his most consistent display of the season – setting up Fulham’s opening goal for Raul Jimenez – and running Neco Williams ragged.
Silva told his post-match press conference:
“I’m really pleased for him. It was a great cross and he had chances to score and I like to see Adama like we saw him today. He was balanced today and I don’t remember one ball he gave away – and he needs to take risks and the assist was great. Throughout the game he was much more involved in everything and this is how I want to see him, because his capacity is almost unstoppable and we need to give him the tools to play like he did this afternoon.
The move from Emile and the assist from Adama is something we have been working on. The first goal is something we have worked on.”
That was one of our best games of the season we really looked good and played with hunger and speed getting the ball forward much quicker and it paid dividends we still need to score more of our chances but hopefully that will come.
Our best home display for a very long time and it came virtue of Traore showing the huge difference it makes to have a winger who is capable of going outside his fullback. Much more balanced although the left flank is still a concern. Hopefully, Willian can provide the final piece of the jigsaw needed to give us real balance because Iwobi’s and Robinson’s crosses were wildly inaccurate throughout.
Great 3 points!
Stuff of legends, and i m not exaggerating. Traore was sensational today. His physique is unreal, today his delivery was as exceprional. I cant remember anyone dribbling past a player by the kick the ball and run after it skill and acctually working. A beast
I’m one of Adama Traore’s biggest critics, but am pleased that he put in a performance which used his pace, skill and brain. Good on him and I hope it continues both for him and the team.
I do not think we can do this, weekly, as Forest were tired / awful / foul-free for 45 minutes. We look great going forward. Esp. with Adama complementing Iwobi and ESR. We look confident and Bassey & Jedi are almost in midfield, enabling us to pass it around – at will.
Nonetheless we have beaten Forest, The Toon, Albion and the SW6 Dogtrack team, with many good draws v L’pool; Arsenal etc.
We have a good fixture run against troubled or injured teams until the Reds arrive in April. Very Interesting times. We are the leading London FA Cup team. COYW!
