Fulham have confirmed the signing of highly-rated young forward Brodie Dair from St. Johnstone.

Fulham, who have parted with around £150,000 to bring the Scottish starlet south of Hadrian’s Wall, have been tracking the youngster ever since he starred in the Scottish Youth Cup two years before his sixteenth birthday, were delighted to have beaten several English Premier League clubs to Dair’s signature.

The intelligent forward, who penned his first professional contract with the Saints last summer, is set to go straight into Ali Melloul’s under-18 squad at Motspur Park made his first under-16 level as a fourteen year-old. Dair was named in his first Scottish Premier League senior matchday squad when he was included amongst the substitutes for St. Johnstone’s Scottish FA Cup in September.

Dair, who was named in Scottish under 17 head coach’s squad for the forthcoming double fixture against Austria in Turkey next month, told Fulham’s official website:

“I’m really excited to join Fulham. It’s a good club with a good pathway through to the First Team. I just can’t wait to get going. I work hard off the ball, I like to score goals and win the ball high up the pitch for the team.”
