Antonee Robinson says Fulham’s creativity at Anfield is the latest example of Marco Silva’s side proving they can go toe-to-toe with the Premier League’s top teams.
The Fulham captain feels his team are taking significant strides forward after drawing against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool since the start of December.
Robinson, who stole the show with two assists as the Whites drew 2-2 with the league leaders said:
“We’ve been managing to pick up results against top teams, that’s the difference from last year. We’ve got injuries, but it’s all about getting everyone back and staying consistent. We were on even footing and then we scored and they got a red card. They took a lot of risks pushing men high and they were rewarded for it. There was space for us on the break but we didn’t capitalise.
They piled the pressure on and were really positive, They brought Diogo Jota on. I felt like Mo Salah was getting the better of me in the first half, I was on a booking but I felt more myself in the second half.”
He represents the all round improvement in the quality and resilience of the team this year, a great season so far, who wouldn’t be delighted with our performances? Early season jitters have been replaced with a real strength and sense of purpose. We just have to stay consistent now, no more Wolves moments, if we can, then one feels others will drop points. Few have been truly consistent this season. There will be lots of interest in him come January, I really hope he will copy our other favourite Yank and stay for the long term.
I really hope he stays !!! But,if obe of the big boys cone in with a crazy offer, his head may turn !!.Everything is in our favor though !! He signed a five yr deal and will make the club some money !!!
This team is improving game after game it’s great to see us going toe to toe with the big teams and progress under Silva who has showed what a good coach he is going to be and not get “Poached “or “stolen “ by so called the bigger teams we have now reached the next level and go further and take us to a final what a day that would be still perhaps another two or three players defineately a goalscorer then we would put these chances away hopefully Jedi will see sense and stay with our great club I hate the fact that the big clubs can tap up our players surely the FA have to step in on this let s hope so but like most of the Media the smaller clubs in there mind don’t exist all the time clubs like Fulham,Brighton,Notts Forest are doing well and stick it up the big boys it makes a great premier league COYW
