Our opponents in the final (that sounds so good!) has just been confirmed and it’s Atletico Madrid. Diego Forlan – regarded by many as a flop at Manchester United – stunned Anfield with a composed finish when he found himself completely unmarked in the Liverpool box in the first half of extra time.

So there’s no all-England final then but England v Spain. We have beaten teams from all over Europe so why not take Spain down as well? They will be tough  with some excellent attacking players with Sergio Aguero top of the list. Forlan will also be a player who Hangeland and Hughes will want to keep quiet on the 12th May.
