Fulham goalkeeping coach Hugo Oliveira will be named the new first team coach of Portuguese side Famalicao this afternoon.
The 44 year-old will leave Craven Cottage, where he has worked alongside Silva for the past three years, to take up his first managerial role after concluding negotiations to replace Armando Evangelista at the Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho.
Oliveira has previously worked as a goalkeeping coach at Benfica and was part of Carlos Queiroz’s coaching staff when he was in charge of the Portuguese national side. Reports in Portugal suggest that Famalicao’s most recent caretaker boss Ricardo Silva will remain as part of his coaching staff.
Oliveira is understood to have left Fulham with Silva’s best wishes and the Cottagers are close to appointing the former Benfica goalkeeping coach Fernando Ferreira as his replacement.
In the portuguese newspaper their are saying that is a done deal.
