Fulham are considering a loan move for Brighton and Hove Albion forward Evan Ferguson in January.

The Irish international has told Albion that he wants to leave the AMEX in January, having made only eight appearances for the Seagulls so far this season. The 20 year-old, who has scored seventeen goals in 73 games since moving to the south coast from Bohemians in January 2021, remains a regular for his country – scoring in the Nations’ League this term – despite struggling for gametime under Fabian Hurzeler.

A loan deal looks the most likely route for Ferguson to find regular football as his Brighton contract runs until 2029. Fulham are seeking striking reinforcements in January having not replaced Jay Stansfield with Raul Jimenez, Rodrigo Muniz and Carlos Vinicius currently Marco Silva’s only senior options up front. The Whites are rumoured to be facing competition from Leicester City in the chase for Ferguson – although it is unknown whether the departure of Steve Cooper from the King Power will affect the Foxes’ interest in the striker.
