Alex Iwobi admitted he was still ‘buzzing’ after Fulham’s stoppage time fightback to beat Brentford in the local derby on Monday night.

The Nigerian international was delighted after Marco Silva’s side stunned their near neighbours through Harry Wilson’s brilliant brace after the Welsh international came off the bench.

Iwobi told the club’s official website:

It was crazy! Obviously going into stoppage time we’re thinking, ‘we need to equalise, we need to equalise.’ But to equalise and then go and win it – we almost lost it as well, but Bernd made a huge save – and for King H to come on and get the two goals like he did, it was a great feeling.

The stadium was just erupting. It’s hard to describe, but in the moment it’s one of the best feelings. It’s a big lift because we feel like our performances recently deserved a lot more, in terms of getting points and results. And the way we did it, against Brentford, we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, a derby as well, to win it in the manner we did has defo given us a confidence boost going into another London derby against Palace.”
