Marco Silva was delighted after his Fulham side produced a professional away performance to beat Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this afternoon.

Striker Raul Jimenez scored the game’s only goal from a contentious penalty six minutes into the second half and the Fulham boss was pleased with his side’s application that saw them hold onto a precious three points to lift them to sixth place in the Premier League table.

Silva told his post-match press conference:

“It’s a great three points for us and a great battle. A tight game as we expected. The boys did really well. When we had to keep our organisation and show our character in the last minutes, we showed it – from the first minute to be honest. The reality is [that there was] not one [clear] chance from Nottingham Forest throughout the game. I believe we commanded much more of the game and controlled the game on the ball.
