Fulham centre back Conor McAvoy has joined Ayr United on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Scottish youth international, a former captain of Fulham’s under 21 and under 18s sides, gained his first taste of senior football during an outstanding loan spell with Wealdstone in 2021 but had a promising period on loan at Partick Thistle ended after just six weeks in 2023 following a serious knee injury.

McAvoy’s new side are top of the Scottish Championship having won all four of their league fixtures so far.
