Alex Iwobi feels Fulham have the squad to finish in the Premier League’s top ten – and believes summer signing Emile Smith Rowe can help the Whites get there.
The two former Arsenal academy graduates scored the goals as Marco Silva’s side earned their first win of the new season by beating newly-promoted Leicester City at Craven Cottage yesterday and the Nigerian international says Fulham’s record signing is getting sharper with every training session after an injury-hit end to his Gunners career.
Iwobi told the Daily Mail:
“In pre-season he got two goals and he’s just getting sharper by the day in training. I’ve seen his qualities over the years. He’s such an attacking threat, very intelligent on and off the ball, and he’s the sort of player we need, especially as we’re trying to be a bit more dynamic.
I feel like we’ve got at least two players per position now. It’s healthy competition. We want to achieve and go into the top ten.”
