Marco Silva was delighted to see Fulham’s ‘winning mentality’ come to the fore after the Whites finished off their pre-season preparations with a comprehensive win over Hoffenheim in Germany this afternoon.

Silva’s side warmed up for the big kick off with a 2-0 success courtesy of goals in either half by Emile Smith Rowe and Adama Traore. The Fulham head coach told the club’s official website after the final whistle:

“Again, it was a good win. Results aren’t always the most important thing in pre-season, you know, there are some things that are more important for us, but it is always important to have the good feeling [that a win provides]. It is important to create this winning mentality and good habits – not to concede goals is also important. It is already the third game in this pre-season that we haven’t conceded. That’s always important for us. Now is a moment to give the players a one-day break and start again on Monday”.
