Fulham are planning to submit a new offer for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay once they complete the capture of Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal, according to Sky Sports News.
Reporter Dharmesh Sheth claims that the Whites are ready to make new attempt to lure the Scottish international to Craven Cottage having had a £17m offer rejected earlier this summer. The 27 year-old midfielder, who has made 252 appearances for the Red Devils since coming through the United youth academy, is apparently Fulham top target to replace Joao Palhinha after the Portuguese international’s departure for Bayern Munich earlier this month.
He does not want to leave Old Trafford so why are we continuing to pursue a player who obviously does not want to play for our club. What has happened to the Andre transfer has it stalled and we still quibbling over the price, we were not far apart
Why go for someone who do not want to play for you !!!!.I simply do not understand!!!
Yeah I agree with John here, I think it will be almost impossible for Mctominay to accept an offer, he will have to be offered more I think cause he is a player that Man United would want to keep, you see he scores goals for them most of the time.
Mctominay would have to be offered more which isn’t always the option to go for. The thing is he scores goals for Man U most of the time, without him they will play like prime QPR on a sunday evening.
Manchester United want 40 million for him.we have offered 17 million for a player who clearly does not want to join us. It does not make any sense. We have been fuffing around for a defensive mid field player ever since Jao signed for Bayern. So many names mentioned but no signings. I concur with John what has happened to the Andre transfer. Fans are becoming increasingly frustrated
The Brazilian club is hard to deal with every time we agree a deal they move the goal posts and ask for more hoping Liverpool will come back with bigger offer been doing it over a year. Agree Mctommny does not really want to come. If you want a good Brazilian holding player go back for the one at Sheffield UtD he wants to come they want wages off there books
Maybe we should go back with a take it or leave it final offer for Andre and then walk away. He seems keen to join us maybe his agent can convince his Brazilian club. Give then make final another offer for the Sheffield United player who seems a good possibility but do not be held to ransom. Scott McTominay in my book is a non starter especially at the price and his age we do not want someone who is forced to play for us against his wishes> then cast our net wider. A central defender should be a priority it has all gone quiet on that front
What the Hell is going on here yet again we are pursuing someone who does not want to play for Fulham is Andre coming to us or not if not go somewhere else where’s the 2 CBs we were promised any injury in that department and we are snookered Ream is Just Alright now but not great very worrying about our defence what’s happening about Mbabu we have three RBs at the moment which one will start against the Manchester Mob
I’d say another centre back is even more a priority than a midfielder….but both are obviously absolutely critical.
I don’t get this one. He’s 27. Put him on a 4 year contract and he’ll be 31 and his resale value will be low. I just can’t see how he’s worth 40m even if he wanted to come. I mean it’s almost Palhinia money. Surely there are better other options. Especially seeing as he thinks he is too good for us. Which is also not true btw.
So McTominay thinks he’s too good for us. He should remember how Man U came up short against us last year!!
I agree with Richards S. Make some take or leave it offers. A lot of teams are in a position where they NEED to sell. It worked fine when Munich did it to us. My way to replace Joao is to get more class in midfield, if we are in control we won’t need to be making big tackles.
As stated by many, if he doesn’t want to leave Man.U and additionally doesn’t want to join Fulham, why persist. £40 mill. valuation is a joke surely. I read somewhere that Radcliffe wanted him gone but manager wants to keep him. Who knows?
I for one will be seriously disappointed if the Andre deal falls through!
No doubt he’s a great player, but this seems like a smokescreen whilst we find someone who does want to play for us. and does not alert other clubs. to our interests
I also agree get Andre and forget about McTominey and we desperately need 2 centre backs.

Re: Andre, seems Fluminense is the problem.
If that is the case then Give Fluminense a deadline to accept our offer otherwise look elsewhere but not McTominay. Does anyone know what our budget is for spending to keep within the rules
I think Andre is a must too! It might help getting others to join too! I also think take it or leave it is a good tactic too! The option that players want to hear is what am I gonna earn ?? Not how much do the owners earn ! We’re missing players now and we need to get them in ! to our owners I say please give the guys in YOUR football team the means to get these players that can put us in the position we want to be. If you do you WILL BE PROUD of us & your recruitment team

I totally trust Marco Silver but Ive only watched watched Andre once against Man City and Fluminese conceded 4 goals and all were caused by Andre’s mistakes….perhaps he was playing in a more defensive position than usual but he did look out of his depth!
Seems we’re thrashing around again with André and Scott. Flumenese are being awkward as usual and Man U are reluctant given they have activated a 1 year option to extend Scott’s contract by another year. And Scott doesn’t seem enthusiastic coming to Fulham. Either way an offer of 26M plus add ons should seal the deal on either player. Or both ?
What is the contiued obsession with Scott McTominay . 17 million is more than enough but he has made it clear he does not fancy playing for us. I concur as much as I would like to see Andre sign for us the time has come to say to Flumenese take our offer by next Monday, or we walk away and look elsewhere.but not Calvin Phillips either. I also agree at least one new centre back is essential before our first match. Finally why are we even considering letting Jay Stansfield leave 6 million is derisory and an insult
I think we should give more credit to TK..clearly Silva has a priority list and we are working thru that list… sell get money upfront and buy by offsetting over time ie Smith Rowe paid over 5years .. means we can buy 4players with one sale … keep the faith and watch what transpires in August …
Maybe a standard negotiating tactic to be seen to have shifted focus elsewhere.
What’s weird to me is that we have no competition in signing him if he’s so brilliant…
Here we are practically in August with only one signing finalised…Sessegnon…only after being refused by Palace.
Go Khan’ts…
