Late strikes from Phil Gray and Kelly Haag gave Fulham an impressive 2-0 win over Leyton Orient in the Associate Members’ Cup this evening.

Defender Jeff Eckhardt’s long-awaited return from a broken toe that had kept him out for five weeks lasted just 65 minutes before he limped off by youngster Martin Ferney. Fulham boss Alan Dicks was delighted by the performance of Tottenham loanee Gray. The Northern Irish forward broke the deadlock ten minutes from time with his first goal for the Whites, rifling home a right-footed finish after latching onto a clever ball from substitute Kelly Haag.

Haag, who had come on for the injured Gordon Davies, made sure of the victory with three minutes remaining by heading home a cross from Peter Scott.
