Gary Brazil’s brace ensured Fulham edged a five-goal thriller at Chester City this afternoon.

Brazil blasted the Whites ahead from long range with a trademark terrific finish on fifteen minutes as Don Mackay’s side got their reward for making all the early running. The hosts delighted the Deva Stadium crowd by equalising only two minutes into the second period when Stuart Rimmer nodded in Roger Preece’s cross.

Skipper Simon Morgan restored Fulham’s lead when he headed home a fine cross from Julian Hails in the 76th minute and the Londoners looked to have wrapped up points when lovely link-up play between strike partners Sean Farrell and Brazil saw the former Sheffield United star score his second. Dave Thompson’s late effort ensured a nervy final five minutes but Fulham held to secure an entertaining victory.
