Fulham have confirmed that they have released Marek Rodak after eleven years with the club.
The Slovakian international goalkeeper leaves Craven Cottage in search of first-team football having been supplanted by Bernd Leno since the German custodian’s arrival from Arsenal two summers ago. Fulham’s short statement on their official website is the first official confirmation that Tosin Adarabioyo will play elsewhere next season. The 26 year-old centre back had a medical with Chelsea earlier this week ahead of a Bosman move along the Fulham Road.
Australian midfielder Tyrese Francois is also on the released list alongside Terence Kongolo, who made just four appearances in four years at the club. Right back Luciano D’Auria-Henry and George Okkas, key members of Fulham’s successful under-21 side in recent seasons, are also looking for new clubs as well as Caelan Avenall and Ma’kel Bogle-Campbell. Armando Broja and Fode Ballo-Toure have returned their parent sides after underwhelming loan spells.
Fulham remain in negotiations with Willian and Bobby De Cordova-Reid over extensions to their current deals and have offered contracts to goalkeeper George Wickens, who spent the second half of last season with Ross County as the Staggies preserved their Premiership status, and defender Harvey Araujo.
Feel sorry for Marel Rodak.
A very good goalie who has been a good servant.
Good luck for the future Marek
Marek should have left a the end of last season because he was never going to get a chance to be No 1 at FFC, Leno is just too good.
Marek is good enough to be a No 1 at a championship club, needs to play games for him to develop into a premier league GK. All the best to him, he has been great for FFC!!
Good luck to you Marek, great professional. Someone somewhere is going to be happy to have you in their goal.
Homework needed. Ross County preserved their Premiership place in the relegation playoff by beating Ruth Rovers – where Kieran Bowie came to us from.
Rodak will be a first team player in a championship side pushing for promotion very soon. Very under rated in my opinion
What a waste of money and wages on Kongolo. The same money spent on him , we could have got Toney. Anyway, the other Tony knew best.
Good luck Marek, you deserve better.
