An outstanding goalkeeper, Arthur Reynolds spent fifteen years at Craven Cottage and made 446 appearances for the club. His longevity was all the more remarkable because he lost four seasons to World War One. Having begun his footballing career with his hometown club Dartford, Reynolds moved to Fulham in 1910 and was ever present in his first two seasons with his new club. He shone in Fulham’s rn to the FA Cup quarter finals in 1912 and was unfortunate not to gain an England cap.

He was a fearsome presence in goal, keeping six cleans in a row for two seasons in succession (1921-22 and 1922-23) and went nine home games without conceding a goal between March and October in 1920. He missed just three games between September 1919 and 1925 and was given a testimonial against Chelsea in 1923. He was a regular visitor to the Cottage until his death in London in 1970 aged 83.
