Marco Silva is hoping Fulham will make big moves in the summer transfer market after he met the club’s senior leadership on Wednesday to finalise their strategy.
The Portuguese head coach is keen to keep hold of his key players and strengthen the squad ahead of the Whites’ third season in the top flight. He told his pre-match press conference yesterday afternoon:
“We have been talking. In December and the beginning of January, we began to speak together. We had a meeting on Wednesday. I would expect everything to be more clear next week or the week after the Premier League [season finishes]. It’s going to be important to put on the table the plan that we have.”
1/3 odds on we’ll do our business too late, after preseason and once the season has started. You’ve got to hope TK has learnt his lesson and gets things done earlier, but, given our form here I’m not sure.
Does a leopard change his spots? nor will Tonkey. He gets a high from his wait and gamble policy.
I don’t bother waiting for our DoF to make signings I just wait for the first game to see what cheapies/rejects we signed from other teams ,I am really hoping that for once Jay Stansfield gets a run in the first team and gets a Squad number plus maybe Luke Harris as well give these boys a chance instead of the Journey Men we often sign
We definitely need some younger players with experience at a high level we always seem to bring in players who add nothing to our squad, they are either past it or just not good enough and we need to bring them in early and get them in for pre season but I don’t think Tonkey knows how.
